APEC summit endorses Roewe 950
SAIC Motor handed over 20 Roewe 950 cars to the organization committee of the APEC CEO Summit 2014 at a ceremony held in Beijing on October 20, a sign that the brand has won the endorsement of yet another high-level international organization.
It was the third time this year that Roewe 950 was appointed the official vehicle at a major domestic or international meeting. Earlier, it provided services to the annual Two Sessions in March and the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games in August, receiving high praise for its quality services. The car also was praised by state leaders during their inspection at SAIC Motor in May.
As SAIC Motor’s second-generation flagship model, Roewe 950 lives up to the top standards of China’s automotive industry in terms of design, R&D and manufacturing.
Roewe 950 is equipped with the "golden power portfolio” of the TGI smart direct injection engine and Conti Gear six-speed silky tiptronic transmission, with low noise, high stability and smooth shift. An advanced suspension system with its brand-new engineering design can further absorb vibrations and noise, thus making the drive even more comfortable. These advantages are then enhanced by a ten-in-one flagship intelligent and proactive security system, making Roewe 950 the definite B+ class leader among the country’s home-grown brands.
Endorsement for Roewe 950 is also endorsement for SAIC Motor. Over the years, the company has made earnest efforts in making independent innovations and boosting investment in R&D in self-developed brands. It has also enhanced exchange and cooperation with joint-venture brands.
This year, SAIC Motor has released a new generation of power assembly that meets international standards, which is a milestone in its self-developed core technology, paving the way for the company’s product development in the coming five years.
